About k155id1 Arduino Nixie Driver:

When the IC with gas discharge indicators is used to exclude the illumination of the digits, it is necessary that the ignition of the indicator occurs at a cathode current of at least 50 μA, for which the voltage at the output of the decoder should not be more than 55 V. The voltage at the closed terminals is reduced to 60 V or less by connecting to the terminals of the external resistors, zener diodes, diode arrays with a common cathode with a support from the resistive voltage divider. When controlling the operation of gas discharge indicators, the operation of the IC with a voltage at closed outputs of more than 60 V (on breakdown sections of the current-voltage characteristics of internal limiting zener diodes) is supplemented. In this operating mode, the operating time of the IC is 500 h. The parameters of the output breakdown voltage and the output piercing current characterize the internal limiting zener diodes at the output of the IC.

k155id1 vs 74141 : Whats the Difference?

All types of 74141 (Tesla MH74141, 74141PC, Texas Instruments SN74141, sfc 4141E / 74141) and the Soviet K155ID1 have all outputs off in states 10 – 15. At a lower supply voltage (up to 175V) these combinations allow nixie blanking, at voltages above 175V the entire nixie chamber is faintly glowing. Only the 7441 AN circuit is different – at states 10 to 15 it has always absurdly 2 outputs simultaneously on:
10… 8+2
11… 9+3
12… 8+4
13… 9+5
14… 8+6
15… 9+7
